I was really expecting to like it and was excited because I thought I might use it to get my wife's computer to run Linux. I was hoping that wine would solve the problem that she has a fair amount of bought software that you just can't get for Linux.
But that ain't going to happen for a while.

I am not even sure at this point that I like it better than XP. I've only been using it for a couple days, but it hangs. A lot. XP doesn't hang like this. If this had been my first exposure to Unix I would be of the opinion that you get what you pay for when it comes to operating systems (other than Vista). I don't object to paying for software.

I am seriously thinking about going back to Mint on my computer, which I have never had hang, or really had any problems with. A nice solid operating system.

Maybe 8.05 will be better (kinda like maybe Vista rev 3 might actually run)
