The "r" is for reserve. Actually the title is now ew1usnrr for retired.

I spent 3 1/2 years active and 20 in the reserve. I'm a Blue Nose, Golden Dragon, Shell Back with an Order of Magellan and an Order of the Ditch.

(crossed artic circle, east coast ship transit of international date line, crossed equator, circumnavigated globe, transited the Panama canal).

The "Eddy Mac" was the first frigate that I was assigned to while in the reserves. Arrr, we were a salty bunch.
