Had I "tuned in" to this board at some other time, I very well may have said something to Jim or another conservative.

Here's my 2 cents as a board "elder" & as fellow progressive/voter on the left (except for one issue): I don't think we persuade people to our side with vitriol. Ditto for being veg*n. If we want a non-violent world, it is important that we model non-violence in words and deed.
