Well, I don't get into political arguments, but I do have some viewpoints.
I do know that the last year in South Central Alaska has been unusually cold. Last summer was very cold and could hardly be called a summer. We had a cold winter and the month of March broke many records, driving the frost down and setting back the arrival of spring.
I have seen personally, from over 30 years in Alaska that the glaciers in my area mostly have receded, however some have advanced. That's pretty hard to understand.
I have seen reports of the melting arctic ice, and I can't dispute that. The problem I have is that people use their differing information and facts (on both "sides")to reinforce their predetermined political stance.
The thing is, there are things that we can do which I have done since before it was politically correct, which brings us closer to the meaning of life, and does a lot less damage at the same time. People on both sides could learn a lot from each other, and work together. Reacting with fear only rocks the boat further.
I will continue to live in a way that honors the Creator Who gave us such an amazing universe to dwell in. I can't do that by trashing it, nor consuming more than I need. It doesn't work for my individual body, nor for my exterior environment. I don't worship that environment, the scientist who study it, nor myself and my ability to observe it. But I can learn much more. I can learn more without hatred for those who are different from me and without fear. Honestly, I think my biggest hatred is of fear. I love wilderness. But it's fearful also. I have bears, moose, eagles, owls, and lynx walking through my yard. It's fearful, but it's good.
