It's almost funny how easily swayed you were by a misinformed, biased opinion and made a purchasing decision based upon another person's preferences. I think it's actually hilarious that you couldn't wait to get a knife sharpened maybe once every ten years, and didn't research the option of service calls. And what's more is that you can use the sharpener on the straight edges yourself. Cutco knives are always sharp, that's the whole point.
