This is from the woman who has owned cutco for over 40 years. Her name is Rita and she bought the complete homemaker set back when the handles were made out of the stuff bowling balls are made out of and this is what she had to say, "I've owned cutco knives for about 40 years and they are still sharp. I have never had them sharpened and have never had a problem with them. They are a great product and I absolutely love them." I own a relatively new homemaker set myself and I love them too. As far as this guy's objections to cutco knives go, the manufacturing process doesn't make an ounce of difference if henckels and other brands of high quality cutlery use an inferior steel and polish on their knives to what cutco does. The proof of the quality of the manufacturing process lies in the fact that cutco knives can go in the dishwasher and others can't. And what's more, I'd rather have a double d edge over a straight edge any day. I'd rather have the edges on it stay sharp and the points dull after umpteen years than have a whole straight edge dull after one or two uses. As far as the rest of your objections go, they are entirely unfounded and not worth my time. Find me another knife that is guaranteed forever and then maybe we can talk.
