I don't have the instructions any more as far as specific times for certain items, but you can find that online.

Lock the lid and turn the knob to the III (at least i think that's what it is...my plastic cap is long gone). Heat it on fairly high heat until the red button pops up, then reduce the heat to low to maintain the pressure.

It has a great locking mechanism...it's not going to blow up!
