I use it almost as much as I use my crock pot and definitely more than I use my oven. I am a long distance mom as kids are away at school (so it's both less and more time consuming), have a job that sometimes requires extra hours after work in the late spring/summer/early fall but I also have an 84 year old mom of my own that I spend time with after work almost with every day, plus my commute to and from work. I usually cook once a week (or once every other week or ... you get the idea) and just put it all in containers in the freezer. I try to stay ahead of my husband, so that he has a choice of meals. But if I didn't have a PC I would get a LOT LESS cooked. I bought a second one that is bigger. If it weren't for this site, and Lorna Sass's book (that I read about on this site) I probably would never have ventured into the PC world. Three things I love (after family) are crock pots (I have 4) Pressure Cookers (I have 2) and freezers (I have 1, but wish I had room for another one) Thanks for all your input everyone. My next PC will probably be a fancy one, as opposed to the half price one at Wal*Mart and the nice one at Goodwill. |
