We have just purchased one. It seems to have overloaded our older microwave, and blown it up. However, it works well for most things tried, including beef stew, rice, buckwheat and veggies.
The most important thing on it is the gasket. You need to wet it down to get a good seal.
Try regular rice first: use the usual 2:1 water:rice ration, 2 c water, 1 c rice. Seal the top, put the pressure valve on, and put your microwave on full for 10 minutes. You will hear a rocking sound as the pressure builds up, just as in an older pressure cooker. Allow the yellow relief valve to relax down before opening. It should work well for this. The book for it should be around somewhere on the web...
