my bean soups usually take an hour from beginning to end, which is still way quicker than not using a pc. lentil and all veggie soups are quicker b/c you don't have to do a quick soak. i think to save some time, you can add boiling water (i sometimes boil in a kettle while i am chopping and browning onions) into the pc, instead of cold.
