By far the most enthusiastic and informative poster is the person who uses the name "Guy." Read as many posts by "Guy" as you have time for - even if they aren't about inserts. You won't regret it. "Guy" is an incredible wealth of information about pressure cookers. As to your question about what kind of insert to use, I prefer stainless steel. It won't warp like plastic or crack like glass, and a proper size bowl shouldn't be as heavy as porcelain or clay. Many stores sell plain stainless steel "mixing bowls." Use these as inserts for your pressure cooker.
