Any pot that will fit in the pressure cooker will work. There are some called Ohsawa pot sold by Goldmine Natural Food company that work well. Do a web search on either of the two. Alternatively I use a stainless steel mixing bowl that fits nicely in a small Presto electric PC, any Corningware pot that fits in your PC would work. Lids on the inner pot seem to be optional, howver elevation of the pot above the bottom of the PC is not really optional. If the pot is sitting on the bottom of the PC when the water in the PC starts to boil it will at minimum create a very loud ratteling sound.
To elevate the inner pot I simply use one of those meat racks, an aluminum disk with holes punched in it, that raises the pot about 3/8 of an inch. I add water to cover about an inch of the bottom of the inner pot, others will use a tripod to elevate the inner pot above the water so that the inner pot only contacts steam. Guy does this, look through some of the older postings for his take on the issue. I have discovered that by heating the contents of the inner pot before adding the contents to the inner pot I avoid boilovers in the inner pot. It just avoids a mess to clean up. I do this by heating what will go into the inner pot in a separate pan and when it is boiling put it in the inner pot and close the PC and proceed.
