To prevent the problem from happening again, try pushing down on the valve assembly for 30-90 seconds after you close the lid of your rapidly boiling pc to vent steam. I have posted about this several (dozen?!) times before but it is worth repeating that this procedure will purge oxygen (at least that is what I read from an internet article) from pc's. This will prevent foaming and subsequent clogging and spitting of foam from your pc. I had a Kuhn for awhile & commonly had the problem even though I used a couple of teaspoons of oil to attempt to solve it. It always made a big mess all over my stove. The other pc's that I own have an automatic purge valve which solves the problem. Since learning about purging oxygen by the venting of steam after closing a pc lid I have never had any clogging problems and I use zero oil as a bonus. Hope this helps.
