Subject: questions re: electric pc and beans

Where is the Farberware pc made? I hope it is not made in China. I am thinking about buying the 8 qt. one, because for me the electric pc sounds like it would be easier. Will I be able to cook l lb. of beans in this model? I want leftovers.
