They came with something that must be a steamer basket (but I've never used it because it has no way to keep it up out of the water) and something that looks like a disk with a crimped rim and holes in it--the rim being crimped means that the surface with the holes sits about 1/4" above the water, definitely not high enough to function as a tripod. I have no idea what it's for. I bought these from Amazon several years ago. Maybe I should try to find a tripod somewhere so I can try your double-boiler method, Guy.
