IIRC, the DuroTHERMS are double walled and have a clip on base that acts as a trivet would, so you can serve from the same pan you cooked in. They used to make DuroTHERM pressure cookers (don't know if they still do) but they were about double the price of the DuroMATIC pressure cookers. Also, the THERMS have brass trim, so they are more elegant looking than the black trimmed MATICS.
