Does the Kuhn really distribute the heat evenly on the electric stovetop ? With my Magefesa pressure cooker it seems like the food doesn't necessarily get cooked evenly on the electric stove. Seems like it worked better when I had gas.

Last night I tried the cauliflower and potato curry from Vegetarian Cooking Under Pressure, and the food was all burnt on the bottom of the pot (but it did burn evenly !) even though I followed the time as given in the book. I'm thinking that maybe I needed to use more than the one cup of water that the recipe called for in the "lowfat version", but I'm not really sure what the problem is. I've had a few disasters with my p.c. as far as incorrect timing, and burning things, and I'm wondering what damage I might have done to my pot. Anyway... I was really impressed by your article saying that the documentation with the Kuhn Rikon was really good, and that the timing given is very accurate. Does it match up well with the timing given in Lorna Sass' book ? One of my problems is that what her book says and what my manual say don't always agree, and sometimes I can't figure out which one is right. Thanks for listening. I await your pearls of wisdom.
