When I first started looking at a new PC (I've had the old aluminum jiggle tops for years) I thought I'd like an electric one. Then, thought that maybe the plain pot would be more versatile. Can you cook anything in the programmable one? Does it do a better job on rice? Since you have a Magefesa, I can ask - do you have trouble with it scorching rice or other thick mixtures? I can't cook rice in mine without an insert. I'm wondering if I need a smaller one just for rice, it would be handy. Also, how many people do you cook for? I always go for the biggest size, but I cook for 4 and maybe the 4 quart would be OK. I've been of the opinion that if I got another PC it would be a Kuhn. I'm just wondering what the particular advantages of the programmable electric PC are. I would think that a regular PC would have less to go wrong with it than the programmable one.
