Maybe it's time for a backup/2nd pressure cooker? I often cook with more than one - beans in one, grains in another, soup in another - I'll admit I'm a bit crazy with 9 pressure cookers. I saw that SmartBargains.com has the 8 qt Farberware programmable PC on sale $119 today - I got a 4 qt one there that I love. I also have a Magefesa and am glad to hear that customer service is good. I have 3 fagors as well - and several jiggle tops from days past - a pressure canner - and I love them all. Mary McD has the 8 Qt farberware and loves it. I was talking to Sabrina yesterday and she mentioned that there are reasons to have the regular as well as the electric - as some things don't cook as well in the electric, like risotto, but I haven't used it enough to determine what doesn't work.
