Another thing that you might look at is a bean pot. Westbend made a bean pot with an electric base several years ago. The bean pot, without the lid, is about 1/2 inch taller than the medium Ohsawa pot with about the same volume. The only place that you would find them would be at some kind of thrift store. The lid is taller than the Ohsawa pot lid, but if you don't use the lid that will not be a problem.
