I've tried the Kombu as well. I've never tried Beano. But what I think is important is that they are thoroughly cooked. Also you need to eat them slowly, chewing well, and not too much. When I am going to eat a big bowl of beans, I like to use one or two tablets of Betaine HCL and Pepsin to aid digestion.
