Crock Pot Oats

2 cups oat groats or rolled oats
6 cups water, or water and juice mixed
half a pie's worth of fruit (2 cups, usually)
optional flavorings

Fruit/flavorings we've used:

Tart apples/cinnamon
tart cherries/almond extract
plain oats/vanilla and cinnamon
small can of pumpkin/nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and allspice or any combination of pumpkin pie spices you like
Raisins (maybe just one cup of raisins)/vanilla and cinnamon

My favorite is Cherry Pie oats (the tart cherries and almond one!) that was what we had today. Sometimes I use pumpkin and apples both.

We add sweetener when we eat it, if I use fruit juice or add sugar when I start it at night, it tends to brown or stick. You have to experiment with the water, originally I was told 4 cups but have since changed it to 6 for my cooker.
