I use by slow cooker for oats at breakfast, start them the night before. I have a big slow cooker but seldom use it now that I have a PC. The slow cooker is not good for starting a dish from dry beans, unless you start 24 hours in advance. I can have a meal on the table in one hour with my PC, starting with dry beans.
