I just got some from Costco too. We eat them all the time, whenever they are here. I wash them well, making sure I get as much of the sand and silt blasted out of them. Then I just put them in the stainless steel steamer basket in the pc and cook them for about 10 minutes. We eat them very simply by hand, and then after eating all the leaves eat the heart. I suppose that one could put some garlic in the leaves, either whole cloves or granules, but I have always just kept it simple. We never tire of 'chokes.
