Cheryl It sounds like you are finally having success with your pressure cooker, congratulations. I never considered timing after the safety lock came up to turn down the temperature but it sounds like a good idea. I tried it with a quart of water and my T-fal and it took one minute and fifteen seconds to reach full pressure. I am using an electric stove. Bob
