I have a Multirapid Plus (probably a waste since all I seem to do with it is cook beans on high pressure), but I assume they are similar. I have a locking button to hit after the lid is in place. It usually doesn't leak steam before the automatic pressure button comes up, but occassionally it does. I then have to hit the lock button a couple of times to "unlock" and "relock" it. I know when I'm succussful because the steam around the handle stops immediately. Hope this helps.

I've also had occassion to remove the lid and then try to bring it up to pressure again. I suffer a steam leak that prevents pressure coming up and sealing unless I peal the gasket off the lid and reset it before securing the lid.

Bill
