adapting your recipes to your PC. We have loved recipes from Lorna's books, and some I've found here, and some I've made up myself. My favorite minestrone soup recipe works great, I just have to be careful not to make it an extra large batch because it will burn if I overload it with beans and don't have enough liquid. I've had lots of fun doing our favorite things extra fast.

My husband's favorite thing is an adaptation of 'spaghetti'. I start with onions, garlic, tomatoes, some brown mushrooms, and start adding all kind of things like broccoli, carrots, etc. We call it Cupboard Dump. His favorite is when I drain and rinse a quart of our home made sauerkraut, along with a package of frozen limas. I usually include fennel seed, frozen basil from our garden (also have used dried) and oregano, and some of that Vogue Vege Base. I add water if necessary, and cook for 4 minutes on high pressure. When it's done, I let the pressure come down naturally and then add the pasta and put the lid back on after stirring and wait 10 minutes. It gets quite thick, too.

If you have Lorna Sass's books, you have all the reference material you need to cook all the grains and beans in your favorite recipes that are not written for PC's.
