The stainless steel is on the OUTSIDE.... (or inside... next to the food) Yes, I'm sure there is aluminum in the inner core, for good heat transfer and all... but.... does anyone actually cook IN aluminum any more?? Yea... I know they do. But I don't!!! Sandra
