i bought brussel sprouts on a stick (stalk) and was wondering about using it to make stock with. i was told that the stalk would be too bitter to eat, but then wouldn't it also be too bitter to make soup with? also, if i put it in the pc when i make the soup, would i just pull it out afterwards like they do with bones? ps does anyone know what i should do with the leafy greens at the top of my brussel sprout tree (stalk)?
