We don't cook the pasta in the pc with the soup. I like my pasta al dente and well rinsed, so we cook it separately and add it after releasing the pressure. Another advantage to doing it this way is that I like mine with lots of noodles and my husband prefers it with less, so by cooking it separately and adding it to our own bowls, we each get what we want.
