So, my friend is hopefully going to give birth in a few weeks and I wanted to do something nice for her and her hubby. I was thinking of making 3 soups and putting them into containers of 2 (lg) svgs each and bringing them to her in the first few days after the baby is born. I'm not sure if I'll freeze them first or just give her the option to frezze them in individual meal sizes. Anyhow, I was thinking of using the 4cup gladware/ziploc reusable, but inexpensive containers. Does anyone have any freezing hints/ tips - do you think these containers will be okay?

And, for the funner question: what do you think I should make?
I was considering a bean, potato, leafy green soup (probably with white beans and kale) and a lentil soup (the italian one went over real well in my house, but garlic lover's is also yummy) and something chunkier - like a stew or a barley soup. Any suggestions on the third category? I have both vegCUP & veg kitchen (or whatever it's called). I'd especially appreciate any suggestions with ingredients (if there are any, i don't know) that are good for nursing moms.
