I found a rice recipe that I'd like to make tonight but would love to make it in the PC. Anyone have any tips for converting it to the PC?

Lentils and Rice

1 whole large onion, coarsely chopped
1 cup lentils (sorted and washed)
1 cup brown rice
3 cups boiling water
1 tsp cumin seed or 1 tsp. cardamon seed, crushed
1/4 tsp black pepper, crushed
1 whole bay leaf, crushed
1 tsp salt (optional)
1 stick cinnamon, 1" piece

1 Saute onions in large saucepan until they are brown. Add spices and saute for a few seconds.
2 Add 1 cup lentils, 1 cup brown rice. Add 3 cups boiling water.
3 Cover and simmer until rice and lentils are tender (about 1 hour). You may need to add water, depending on the kind of rice used.

Would I just follow instructions for cooking rice or lentils? I'm new at the PC mostly cook recipes straight out of a PC cookbook. Haven't gotten the hang of doing it on my own.

thanks,
Shelley
