A friend gave me a 5-gallon bucket of oat groats because they did not care for them. I haven't figured out how to prepare them yet. She said to cook them like rice, but they never softened. I was going to try the 5-10 minute and let them sit over night routine. Otherwise, I do have another friend who has a horse.......
