Also, a pressure cooker even at high temperature only gets to 250F (many pressure cookers don't quite get up to 15 PSI anyway so their temperature is a bit lower). When frying in a teflon pan temperatures are usually 300F-425F. It would be interesting to see what temperature pan coatings offgas.
