I read your letter and the replies. They are a few points to bear in mind here.
I have no any experience of Fagor,SEB or your favourite KR. The main thing with kitchen equipment -is it easy to use and clean.Otherwise usage becomes a real chore and it may remain in the cupboard neglected.Looking at the websites for these products the Fagor and SEB look a bit messy to me with all the bits and pieces on the lid.A haven for trapped particles. You are buying an item for long term use,so over say 10 years the quality should still be there when the price has long been forgotten. An investment to make life easier. So taking that approach the price, within reason, doesn't really matter.I go along with your thoughts. A KR would be my choice.Swiss engineering.
There is a new addition to their range. The Duromatic Thermal. Will keep food hot for up to 2 hours.Perfect for a busy household with staggered meals. To me that would be well worth the extra cost.Cook before everyone is home from school or work,at your convenience. That is the whole point of a p.c.-convenience.If you've set your heart on a KR get one, otherwise it might niggle your mind for years. You have to be at ease with your purchase.I am aware that it is a big lump of money to spend-but that is without the realms of this letter.Hoping these comments sound logical.Best of luck eric
