Subject: Black Beans in PC

I made my first batch of beans this evening. I absolutely cannot believe how simple it was, nor how good they came out. Life will never be the same. I only took a taste to make sure they were done. I'll eat them tomorrow!!

I have a question. The cooks on here and the PC's booklet said to put in onion and bay leaves for flaor. I did, and I also added some garlic. I usually season my beans with cumin too. Is it alright to put powdered spices in while cooking? This time around I added it after the beans were finished cooking.
