The PC I bought is Magefesa. They have a website, and only sell through an 800 number. I got the thing really fast, and it comes with a video of Lorna Sass showing how to use it! She shows how to take a long strip of aluminum foil and fold it twice the long way, you end up with a band of foil four thicknesses thick and about 1 1/2 inches wide. It goes under the casserole and you hold onto the ends to lower the casserole into the cooker, it rests on the tripod that comes with the cooker. I tuck the ends over the dish so I can grab them when it's done cooking and use it to lift the dish out.

The Oshawa pots (or however that's spelled) have a rope handle made for lifting out so you don't need to mess with this.

I have never used another 2nd generation PC so don't know anything about the others. I love my Magefesa, though! It is so quiet (I grew up with my mother's Mirro jiggle top) and fast. The bottom is nice and thick, too.
