When I don't know what to make, I always check in here to get a good idea. For lunch today I made Naomi's kale-potato-onion thing, except my kale isn't ready so used swiss chard. I forgot to put in summer savory and sage, but put a load of garlic in and sliced red potatoes. My husband licked the pot clean, and asked if I can make it again with sauerkraut, too. Now there's another idea! Last week I tried the black bean chili from Lorna Sass, it was fabulous. I think I changed something, probably used roasted red peppers instead of fresh. Anyone who doesn't have her book needs to get it, so many good recipes and lots of helpful teaching.
