With all the enthusiasm on this website for pressure cookers, I ordered a little 4-qt. Fagor from Amazon.com. It arrived a few days ago & looks quite scary to me. I have never pressure cooked in my life nor have I ever been around it or known anyone who has. In all honesty, I am totally intimidated even reading the direction book. It sounds so complicated and downright scary. Can you please help me by perhaps giving me a very simple recipe (with directions) to start with -- to try out the pot! Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Also, I noticed that all of the included recipes require oil -- even the directions for rice and/or beans. Since I purchased the thing to cook ala McDougall, it will be a waste of money if I cannot do so. Will the thing boil over and/or explode if I don't put oil in everything?
