I have never had much success cooking grains in the microwave. It boils over and makes a big mess. Do you use a deep bowl to keep that from happening?
Also, when I cook grits it takes at least 1/2 hour on the stove, can you really cook them in 4 minutes in the microwave? Maybe I don't understand grits, having grown up in Ohio. I like them smooth and creamy, am I overcooking them? I'm very confused right now.
