Wow - I just had a mini explosion with one of my Kuhn Rikons! Not the major,put a hole in the ceiling variety, but enough to remind everyone to take the lid apart and clean it thoroughly! I think the valve must have had some gunk in it, as a wave of broth shot out and around. I have to clean the stove, walls, countertops and floor of shiitake mushroom broth now! And DH had just did the pre-holiday cleaning in there last night. Oh well. Sheesh. You should have seen the dog jump! Poor thing!
