I have a 6-quart Lagostina and really like it. I cook on an electric stove and have never had any problems with scorching or foods coming out over/under-cooked. I don't think you would have any problems using a lighter PC like mine, especially considering that you are cooking on a gas stove and the heat can be regulated much quicker on those. What I really like about Lagostina is that the lid goes inside the pot and fits under a lip when locked in place. As someone who worried quite a lot about "exploding" pressure cookers, I found this to be very reassuring. LOL Shona :)
