Ok, I'm new to all this crazy Pressure Cooker stuff but I'll share with you what I've learned. I purchased an electric 4 qt. Farberware pressure cooker for $99 and it just arrived the other day. I went with electric over stove-top because it seemed easier to use for a newbie. And I liked the features such as delay-timing, programmable cooking time, etc. It seems almost idiot-proof for a pc newbie like me. Doing a search on the internet, Farberware seems to have the lowest prices on electric pc's and I have an impression of Farberware as a reputable, quality manufacturere. Also, the moderator of this board, Sabrina, suggested a Faberware. I wish that I had purchased a larger size - 6 qt or 8 qt. After I received my pc, I learned that you can't fill the pot more than 1/2 to 2/3 full. Not sure why yet. Even though I cook only for myself, I feel like the 4 qt is a bit smaller than I would like, especially if I want left-overs. So to sum up: In my uneducated opinion, I would go for a 6 qt or 8 qt electic Farberware PC.
