I have a canner - and I love it! I used to can tomato proucts in the hot water bath, but I will never do that again. It's amazing how much less water you use in pressure canning. Also, the kitchen does not get as hot. I also canned carrots for the first time, and it was a breeze. I usually only eat fresh veggies, but there is a place for canning in my life, for sure: salsas readily come to mind. Get a canner and stow in in the bottom of your closet. You'll be glad you did.
