Subject: Black Bean Chili

Just read the recipe. I am curious as to the beans getting soft enough, cooking them in an acidic and salted liquid (the tomatoes, canned chipotles and prepared broth). I have never had satisfactory results with the PC when using tomatoes and/or canned chipotles.

Could it be an issue with the quality of the dried beans?
