Subject: Burned the rice, did I ruin my cooker?

I was trying to cook rice for the first time, and suddenly smelled burning. I have blackened the bottom of my bran-new Magefesa. I scraped and scoured with Bon Ami, but there are still some marks. Will this have any effect on the cooker's performance? Has anyone got any advice for me?

I used to use a dishwasher detergent soak on scorched things, but am afraid to try it on stainless.
