Many years ago, I cooked rice in the pc a few times and it came out well. Then, due to having to work 60+ hours per week all through 1999, I got out of the habit. The few times I tried rice in the pc after that, I never got it right. So last year, I upgraded my old Aroma rice cooker (with aluminum pan) & invested in a Zojirushi fuzzy logic rice cooker from Costco.com. It's just great & has a timer, so you can set it for later. It's also supposed to handle porridge. The one time I did it, it didn't cook properly (lots of liquid left.) I've not pursued this, as I've cooked porridge in the pc successfully for many years.
