My first PC (about 15 years ago) was a huge jiggle top. Thought I was being smart because it could do double duty as a canner and a cooker. WRONG. For me, it was so big that I'd never use it for cooking up a cup or two of beans or grains. Second, I got so freaked about pressure canning, that I decided to not do it. (You have to be VERY, VERY careful when opening something you've pressure canned to insure it's safe - if it lost pressure & is now tainted, you can't TASTE it, yet only a little bit can kill you. This hobby should not be pursued lightly!) Anyway, after I got a small (2 1/2 qt) new generation pc, I realized I used it alot. That was about 11 years ago. I quickly bought 3 more in various sizes & they get used several times a week, eventhough there's only two of us.
