Subject: I got my regulator

SO, how do you think I should test this puppy out, to make sure the rubber seal is ok?

Shall I try it w/ some water first and see if it makes the loud hissing noise the old style do?

Then what should I cook to make sure it works and wont have any possibility of getting the regulator messed up if the seal is bad and I want to return it (after all, I don't want to hold on to the last old regulator for this out of production model!). What has the least possibility of boiling over and making a mess and is usually have a consistant sort of time for cooking?
