You can put your electric where your crock pot is, you won't be using it anymore if you have a PC. After some good years of service, my crock went into storage about a week ago (it would have gone sooner, but our microwave died, and I was using it to reheat food I cooked in the PC). We got our new microwave installed, and the crock pot has gone to its resting place. It had a proud spot on my countertop for years, but now it's gone. You can set the electric on wood, yes.
